Show OREIGN EXCHANGE The Foreign Exchange Program is an opportunity for students fo gain a broader perspective of the real world. To become a foreign exchange student, one must apply fo an agency and the agency then chooses a few students with the best application. The agency does all the work to prepare the students to be able to come fo the srares. sy an ac i On lly vid lly fer Left ro right: Octaviano Rios Lerma, Anja Muntinga, Makilko Takira. Octaviano Rios Lerma is a foreign exchange student from Costzagoalcos, Veracrus Stare Mexico. A 17 year old senior, Octaviano decided to travel to the Unired Srares to study life im America. He is living with Rick Garr. family. In Octaviano’s spare time he likes to listen to music like Van Halen and Bon Jovi. He also enjoys water skiing, vid vid lyn reg football, soccer, baseball, and baskerball. After graduation, Octaviano plans on going fo @ mechanical engineering college af Monterreu U.L., Mexico. Anja Muntinga is a foreign exchange student from Holland. Anja was selected to be manager of the girl’s baskerball team, and enjoyed this opportunity, because in Holland there are no extra curricular activities offered. Anja is staying with the Noorlanders. She has made a lor of friends and said she was as comforrable here as she is at home. Makiko Takita is from Oita Japan and decided to become a foreign exchange student so she would be able to learn English more fluently. Makilko is living with the Wood family and enjoys spending time with them. In her spare time, Makiko enjoys reading and listening to music such as Whitney Houston and Perer Ceterra. She also likes to play baskerball and was on the team here at Weber, this year. Makilso’s goals for the future are to atrend the Inrernational Christian University and pursue a career as a translator. |
