Show The technical thearer class at \Weber High School has the roral responsibility for all activities rhat urilize the theater at Weber High. This includes any community, school, or private productions (which are many) throughour the entire year. Their job is to prepare the theater with whatever items that each production needs, as well as fo prepare and operate the lights, sound, and any special equipment or effects. The tech class designs, budgets and builds all of the sets for the school plays, designs and implements all of the lighting for the plays, and runs the shows under the pressures of each and every performance. This also includes stage managing all productions that use the theater. In essence, the theater production students become planners, designers, builders, painrers, budgerers, public relations people, theater managers, custodians of the thearer plant, electricians, sound persons, and minuremen. The tasl< of the technical theater student, under the direction of Mr. Oliver, is one of service, and this year it is being handled very professionally by Brian Hildreth, Rick Bowhuis and Justin Johnson, When we need the extra helo, we can also call of James Clarke. We should be very proud of the work that these people do. Weber High has a grear reputation for its quality theater productions and for the way our crew works so well with the community to keep Weber a firstclass school. |
