Show ASWSC: Building for the Future Executive Officers Lori Memmott The president was the first female ever elected as ASWSC Studentbody President at Weber State. As president, she was the official representative of the student-body to the administration, faculty and community. She served as chairman of the Legislative Council. She was responsible for the other members of the council and worked closely with and helped to correlate the work of the six vice-presidents. Lori was in charge of the Supreme Court and their functions, the Assistants to the President, and any Student Development projects. Bruce Richeson The Executive Vice-President served as a member of the Legislative Council. In this capacity, Bruce was in charge of Budget Hearings, Fiscal Policy and Studentbody Elections. He also served as President of the Association of Chartered Organizations and as Vice Chairman of the Legislative Council. Rick Southwick As Academic Vice-President, Rick served as Speaker of the Academic Senate. In this capacity he was responsible for Academic Research and Improvement, Master Student Awards and College Bowl. He was also a member of the Faculty Senate. Faye Hardy The goal of the Public Relations Vice President is to maintain good relations between the ASWSC and the surrounding area. She worked closely with the high school to encourage enrollment. She was also on several committees dealing with Freshman Orientation, Commencement and the Media Board. Stephanie DeGraw As Student Services Vice-President, Stephanie coordinated all volunteer programs on campus such as the Big Brother/Big Sister program, Special Olymics and Festival of Trees. She was responsible for coordinating the student carpool and off campus housing as well as serving on the Student Affairs Committee, the Parking Committee and Residency Appeals Board. Richard Hackwell The Cultural Vice-President was the coordinator of student concerts and convocations. He was a member of the Dee Events Center Policy Board and was responsible for providing cultural programs for Weber State College Students and the community. Tamra Hamer As Activities Vice-President, Tamra served on the Union Policy Board, Residence Halls Association and was Chairman of the Homecoming Committee. Her primary responsibility was the College Activities Board which was in charge of planning entertainment such as speakers, stomps and films. |
