Show Executive Council Members of the Executive Council include, Front Row. Michael Phillips, Sharon Blair, Carol Freestone, Ross Robson. Second Row: Steve Bennion, Dr. Merle E. Allen, Clyde Black, Dr. Dello G. Dayton. It is our hope that your education will not end here, at Weber, and that study will increase in your life's experience. Man's worst arguments for life, according to Roger Bacon are: "This was the way of our ancestors, this is the custom, this is the common view." Let us take the admonition of our professors and educational leaders literally when they tell us to reach for new heights, remake the world, and meet the new challenge. Let us not be bound by senseless tradition but review it with a respectful yet critical mind. Let us demand responsibility by being responsible, acquire respect by being respectful, and tecognize individuals by compiling wisdom with a growing enthusiasm for knowledge. Executive Council The duty of the SPIRIT COMMITTEE is to promote the school spirit. Members are Max Willard, Waldo, Lewis May, Chairman and Doug Cox (Left to Right). The LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE members, Lyle Bair and Kent Bulkley, Chairman (Left to Right), have organized conferences and assisted the various student officers in developing their abilities. The ORIENTATION COMMITTEE, Tex Bourland, Chairman, and Ray London (Left to Right), sponsors various activities at the beginning of the year to make new students feel at home and introduce them to college life. Curtis Smout, Chairman, and Steve Moon (Left to Right) are members of the ELECTIONS COMMITTEE. They are in charge of all on-campus elections. |
