They trained hard and worked out every night but they were well rewarded for their trouble. Coach Jack Sorenson and Assistant Coach Preace led the cinder men and put them their paces. Individual and team honors were numerous during the season. The team made a good showing in the Invitational Track Meet, the Regional Meet and the Three School Triangle Meet. They went to State too, and although they didn't come out with top honors they made a good showing for Weber. Individual stand out performances were given by Don Budge, Don Shaw, Gilbert Marriott, Bill Price, Bruce Erickson. The whole team turned in a bang-up job and deserved the praise they got.
