Gardiner, 10 Beverley Place, Colorado Springs, Colorado, has for sometime past been bootlegging our Automatie Shotguns into the United States and selling in competition to oure selves in such a manner as to raise havoc with our business. Mr. Gardiner selis direct to the consumer, thereby eliminating the jobber's discount and the dealarts discount, which enables him to sell at a much lower price than ourselves. From lr. Since this last circular has been received, we are again procuring guns and will again notify the factory, and will this time request them te cut the agent off if it should happen to be the same one. All of this takes time, however. Belgium is a long ways off and in the meantime Gardiner continues to cireulate his eut prices, and we are, therefore, wondering if we eannet go after him direct at this end at the game time we are attempting to cut off his supply. You will note that he heads his cireuler “Browning's 12 and 16 gauze Shotguns", and we are wondering if it is not possible to stop him from using this name, at least.
