Show 16) Club Terrace Roads Work involved clearing, and grubbing,cut and fill for highway relocation near Melbourne, Australia, for County Roads Board of Victoria. The project was started in January of 1960 and completed in April of 1961. The cost of the project was $105, 656. 17) Fruehauf Trailers Two truck trailer ports and service stations in Victoria, near Melbourne, for Freuhauf Trailers in the amount of $83,387. This lump sum contract was started, in January of 1960 and completed in January of 1961. 18) B. F. Goodrich Polyvinyl Chloride Plant This project is located at Altona, Victoria, Australia, and the owner is B. F. Goodrich - C.S.R. Chemicals Pty. Ltd. Construction included a service building, that is , offices , amenities , and laboratory, with a total area of just under 7, 000 sq. ft. , and was designed, constructed and occupied within the very short time of three months from award of contract. The plant involves a service building, sewerage treatment facilities, industrial waste disposal system, synthesis tower, warehouse, drier and polymerisation buildings, substation building, utility building, equipment control building and cooling tower. Mechanical, electrical and civil designs and all civil construction were performed by the Utah specialist team. The cost of the project was $405,448. 19) Lubrizal Oil Additives Plant Construction included the modification of 13 of the existing 20 tanks on the site, removal of all existing pipe and installation of new piping, pumps and additional tankage and accessories. The existing office building was modified and modernized and other existing buildings were completely renovated. A complete laboratory was designed and installed. A flow sheet was developed in conjunction with Lubrizal engineers from the United States, then detail designs were prepared by Utah's Engineering Division in the Melbourne office. Utah's carefully coordinated operation enabled the plant to accept on scheduled date a shipment of raw materials which had been arranged before work started on the plant, and which was due to arrive approximately seven months after start of construction. This project for Lubrizal Australia was started in June of 1960 and completed in October of 1961. The work was located in Duck Creek, near Sydney, Australia, and cost $281, 593. |
