Description The Farming Artifact category of the Harrisville Virtual History Museum contains farm implements and buildings.
Biographical/Historical Note Farmers used this to hook a portion of compressed or bailed hay to feed livestock. In cooler seasons, the hook was also used to hang slaughtered beef in preparation for butchering. This hook belonged to Ray R. Chugg (1890-1984).
