Show HE THAT HATH A SATIRICAL VEIN AS HE MAKETH OTHERS AFRAID OF HIS WIT, SO HE HAD NEED TO BE AFRAID OF OTHERS MEMORIES HE SNOOPS TO CONQUER! (Re-printed from the Standard Examiner of December 24, 1930) The Society for the Prevention of Fun, should get their forces cut tonight and tomorrow and see that those people who still have a little youth in their hearts and a fresh outlook on life do not celebrate and enjoy Christmas. If they get enough deputies, and there seems to be plenty enrolled in the society, they should be able to hold things down pretty well. They could go around to the various homes in Ogden and by looking through the window tell if there is anyone in there having a good time and if there is go right in and stop it. Or if the blinds are down and they can't see they might put their ears to the key holes and listen. Whenever any one is holding a little festival, we have always noticed that a certain amount of noise always leaks out into the open air. |
