Show 28 THE ACORN CHORUS. Our Alma Mater true to thee, Thy sons will ever stand, Within thy walls or far from thee, A firm united band. ATHLETICS Although the basket ball league is now at a close, our boys are still working hard, aiming for something they did not get this year, but what they know they can get in time by good, hard practice. The second team has done very good basket ball work this year, winning second place in the City School league, and if they keep on improving as they have done, we shall have an excellent team next year. Our advice to them is: "Stick to it and you will accomplish the aim you have in mind." We must not forget our Freshman class. They certainly have the get-up spirit with them, making good use of their spare time in our new building with the basket ball. They have proved to us how they appreciate more room. They hope soon to be able to challange any team in this city. We urge the rest of the Academy boys to take more interest in athletics, especially the Preparatory class, who ought to win first place in our new track meet. Athletic Notes The students of the Academy will be pleased to know that the classes have organized basket ball teams and a league has been organized by them. This means that class spirit must be worked up, with a determination to win. All other classes must watch out for the Freshmen, who have had the most practice and think they can carry off the championship. The following is the schedule of the games which are to be played in the Armory building: March 21 Freshmen-Sophmores Juniors-Preparatory March 28 Juniors-Sophmores Freshmen-Pre'ratory April 4 Sophs-Preparatory Freshmen-Juniors.
