Show ATHLETICS Boosting Athletics Fellow students, we live now or never. This is the year for us to take advantage of our excellence in athletics. It has been several years since Weber had the outlook that it has this year. It is every student's duty to do all in his or her power to push the team to the front. He is a "piker" who says, "I don't care." He should be exchanged for a student. Athletics is one of the main things which advertise our "Weber." Then do your part; each of you has one. Play your part and the boys will play the game. Now is the starting time. Help us get to the tournament, and we'll bring home another pennant for W. A. GEORGE NELSON, Athletic Manager. This season Weber's Tennis team has brought honor home. Although it has only been established in Weber one year, she has turned out many skillful players. The men that stood for Weber were C. Critchlow and F. Parry. They played Ogden High School on October 15 and defeated them by a score of: Singles: 6-4, 6-8, 7-5, and doubles: 7-5 and 6-4. Basketball This year's outlook for a successful basketball season is very bright. Four of last year's "squad" have returned to school; L. Brewer, Wilkinson, E. Nixon and V. Critchlow. Practice was begun on the 1st of November and before the season opens our men will be in excellent condition. Weber has joined the church league this year which will mean extra labor. At the beginning of another year of school at Weber the Alumni Association wishes to extend to the Faculty and Student Body the hope that this may be the most successful year in the school's history. Since we have passed beyond the care of Our Alma Mater we are all anxious that Weber should always be at the top. To this end, students, we stand as your friends, ever ready to assist you. The Alumni Association takes this opportunity to welcome the class of 1915 into its midst. It has been customary for the Association to receive the graduating class, and elect officers for the ensuing year at the end of each school year; but on account of no reunion last year the class separated before meeting with the Association. We hope, however, through this department, to learn of the success and fame achieved by members of this class.
