Tuesday, August 12, 1930 224th Day 141 Days to come Did not attend R.S. meeting to day a severe rain storm which caused floods most every where in Utah Farm Lands Made Worthless by Flood Aug 193 A survey by The Tribune at Centerville showed that 26 families had suffered from the disasters, and that about 175 acres of farming land, valued at from 300 to 1000 an acre, had been wiped clear of crops and, in most cases, rendered worthless for future agriculture. Individual losses of from 5000 to 50000 were suffered by the farmers in the washout area. Some, their homes, crops and implements swept away, and their land rendered valueless, are in desperate straits. A few farmers are making preparations to leave the district.
