OCR Text	Show Between 1916 and 1969, the company built 58 dams, most in the western United States, to provide hydroelectric power and irrigation for farming. Some projects were completed south of the border. In 1947, for instance, the company undertook the Hermosilla Dam, an earth and rock fill dam in Sonora, Mexico. This was built under contract with the Mexican government, for $3.8 million.
