Show Military construction In March 1960, the company contracted with the Army Corps of Engineers to build missile silos and supporting equipment at Schilling Air Force Base, located nearTo-peka, Kansas. Company records reflect Cold War tensions, for they note personnel toiling "under a schedule calling for combat-speed conditions." Opposite, Edmund Littlefield confers with an on-site superintendent. |
