Mecham Physical Education It is recommended that a student pursuing a major in physical education complete Physiology 1, Bacteriology 1, Psychology 1, Home Economics 6, Physics 10, Physical Education 9 or 19; Health Education 5, and seven hours of physical education including swimming. A course designed to give the methods of conducting games, and provide a background of a wide variety of games. Two quarter hours. Winter. Staff 8. Game Officiating. A course in officiating all types of athletic contests. Practice is provided in the intramural program. Two quarter hours. Winter. Staff 11. Hunting. A course dealing with game laws, types of game, specific techniques of hunting for game found in Utah, and the care and use of guns. Field trips are required. Two quarter hours. Autumn. Davis 12.
