Show ALL ABOUT GOVERNMENT Four Chosen To Attend Girls’ State In June Elizabeth Anderson, Nancy, Stanfield, Shari Lee Bunot and Brenda Thorne will represent Ogden High School at the annual Girls' State to be held next month at Utah State University in Logan. Miss Anderson, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. W. H. Anderson of 1435 32nd, is sponsored by the Soroptomist Club. Miss Stanfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Stanfield of 3623 Tyler, is being sent by the BPO Does. Sponsoring Miss Bunot, daugh¬ter of Mr. and Mrs. Leland J. Bunot of 3221 Porter, is Mercer Investment Co. The Ogden Jaycettes are the sponsoring organization for Miss Thorne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Thorne of 1318 Walcott. The annual event is held to help Utah high school girls gain a better knowledge of government functions. Toward this end a model government will be set up wherein some 300 delegates will participate in election of of¬ficers and otherwise set up a full government operation. A top event for all delegates will be the inaugural ball to which parents and friends will be invited. |
