Show PAGE 24 WEBER ACADEMY TRAINING FACILITIES Through arrangements that have been made with Superintendent Petterson, and the Weber County Board of Education, normal students will be permitted to do their practice teaching in the County Schools. All practice teaching will be under the supervision of the director of the Normal department, as well as the County Superintendent and County Supervisors. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS For admission to the Advanced Normal course, a student must offer fifteen units of credit by certificate from an approved school, or by examination. In case the character of a student's work is, in any subject, such as to create doubt as to the quality of that which preceded, the Weber College explicitly reserves the right to revoke at any time any credit assigned on certificate, and to exact examination in the same. No students pursuing any of the higher courses shall be permitted to register for more than twenty or fewer than fifteen hours per week, nor shall changes in registration be granted, except by special vote of the faculty. FEES The entrance fee for the College is $25.00. This includes the student body fee of $2.50. The Diploma fee is $3.00. GRADUATION A candidate for graduation from the Advanced Normal course will be granted a Normal Grammar Grade WEBER ACADEMY PAGE 25 diploma on the presentation of sixty hours' college credit. This work must include the prescribed subjects. A Normal certificate may be granted to students who successfully complete the first year of the Advanced Normal course, including six hours in practice teaching. Upon the presentation of the Normal diploma to the State Board of Education, the applicant may be granted a State Certificate to teach in the public schools of the state. No student will receive credit toward graduation in any study in which the percentage of excellence falls below 60; nor shall any student be graduated who does not attain an average of 75 percent in all studies included in the course. Students who do not graduate with the class in which they enter, will be held to the requirements made of the class in which they finally graduate.
