Description The Farming Artifact category of the Harrisville Virtual History Museum contains farm implements and buildings.
Biographical/Historical Note Lanterns were used before the advent of electricity to light up a room in a home. They remained in use, after electricity became common in home, for outdoor use by farmers going out or coming in from milking cows or other chores. Larry Larsson, who farmed in Harrisville from 1909 until his death in 1913, used this lantern.
