MAIN ST. | SALT LAKE CITY | 12.08.13 | 5P-9P | 00 PER PERSON Since the early 1900’s, organizations such as Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Jack & Jill, The Urban League, NAACP and 100 Black Men have proactively invested in the collective future of African American males by instilling belief in African culture, scholastic advancement and individual self-efficacy. In continuing this tradition, the distinguished Men of the PI Xl LAMBDA chapter (Salt Lake City) culminates our annual celebration of young Black males with an Alpha Beautillion Scholarship Gala on December 8, 2013 at Little America Hotel. Tickets are $50 per entrant. The purpose of the event is to create college scholarship opportunities for six Alpha Beaus who have participated in The Year of the Beau (2013). The program creates positive, mentoring life experiences by facilitating events that foster giving back to the community, brotherhood and cultural validation while preparing them fortransitioning from high school to college.
