Show AIR MAIL July 26, 1941 Moyle, Earle Dear Building, Washington, D. CG. Walter: Was &® very sorry severe po to hear that lessee of Soiatica Kindly forgive me for not having replied your letter sooner but have just returned to the office being out of the City for a few days. to after Inasmuch as the rifle for your son Tad should come through the St. Louis office, have written to Mr. #1] the Branch Manager there, and asked him to obtain informa as to just what can be done regarding this firearm. Mr. Ellis will write to you direct. I do know that it is rather hard to obtain a rifle of any kind as I recently attempted to buy a Winchester Rifle to be used for deer hunting. Mr. Ellis advised me that Winchester had only three of the particular type desired but it is, of course, sousthte that they will have more of a variety in the 32 caliber gun. If there is another type of rifie that would be more appropriate for your son, am sure that Mr, Ellis, throughlhis organization in St. Louis, is thoroughly competent to advise you. . Have talked to your brother James D. Moyle on the phone, advising him that we would do ever miles $eng we could to get the rifle for your son. He, of c ne ig is going to tell Tad of our efforts in that direct With kindest personal regards sincerely yours, a |
