For those students who are desirous of pursuing the work farther, an elective course has been provided, which includes a set in modern corporation accounting and a modern banking set that covers thoroughly the accounts used in our national banks. Upon completion of the last two sets, the student enters the College National Bank, where he occupies from time to time the different positions in the bank, which is furnished with books and forms of the same kind as are used in the largest national banks of this country. He becomes familiar with most of the business carried on in a bank, including collection, discounts and loans. When the student has completed this course he has had experience with such a variety of methods and of different kinds of books that he is prepared to adapt himself readily to any system of accounts employed in actual business.
