It is required that students who present for entrance less than the equivalent of twenty-five quarter hours in one foreign language pursue such language until they have earned a minimum of twenty-five quarter hours. 1. Has to do with the origin of music and treats the development of music as an art from its beginning to 1600. Two quarter hours. Autumn. Parry 5. History of Music (Classical). The development of music from 1600 to 1800. Special attention is given Handel, Bach, Hayden, Mozart, and Beethoven. Two quarter hours. Winter. Parry 6. History of Music (Romantic and Modern). The deveopment of music from 1800 to the present time. Special attention is given Wagner, Verdi, Chopin, Liszt, Brahms, Strauss, Debussy, and Stravinsky. Two quarter hours. Spring. Parry 7.
