SUMMER SESSION Weber College offers a Summer Session for terminal students who are seeking a position in the business world, by providing an opportunity for continuous training in Shorthand, Typewriting, Office Machines, and other business courses. The Department of Business was organized in 1939 on a business college basis to accommodate students who wish to engage in intensive training on a monthly basis to qualify for business positions in a short period of time. With the increased activity in Ogden City and its vicinity due to the government defense program, Weber College is having difficulty in finding sufficiently trained students to take the positions which are available. This demand will increase within the next year. The summer session affords an opportunity for progressive students to qualify for some of these business positions. NURSERY SCHOOL PROJECT Weber College cooperates with the W.P.A. in maintaining a nursery school on the campus. The Nursery School serves as a laboratory for the classes in Child Development, Child Psychology, Children's Literature, and Nutrition. THOMAS D. DEE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL AFFILIATION The Thomas D. Dee Memorial Hospital is affiliated with Weber College. Through an arrangement effected by administrators of the College and the Hospital, student-nurses pursue at Weber College a specific number of courses designated by authorities of the Thomas D. Dee Memorial Hospital. |
