Fundamentals of Refrigeration Service and Repair. A course designed to acquaint the beginning student with construction and operation of refrgeration machines. Five quarter hours. Autumn. Maycock 52. Service and Repair of Components of a Refrigeration Machine. A course designed to prepare an individual to make repairs to condensers, evaporators, compressors, and liquid control system. Five quarter hours. Winter. Maycock 53. Service and Repair of Electrical Units. A shop course to prepare students to make repairs, and service the electrical equipment used in refrigeration machines such as motors, humidity, temperature, and pressure control. Five quarter hours. Spring. Maycock -----129 54. Elementary Sheet Metal Fabrication. A shcp course designed to prepare students to fabricate the various sheet metal parts used in the repair and construction of refrigerators. The process taught involves both hand and machine techniques. Five quarter hours. Autumn. Maycock 55. Commercial Servicing of Refrigeration Units. A course which assists the students to become aware of the problem and the technique used in the servicing of large commercial refrigeration units. Five quarter hours. Winter. Maycock 56. Construction of Refrigerators. A course designed to teach students how to construct deep freeze units through the use of factory constructed units assembled in either homemade cabinets or modified domestic cabinets. Students are required to purchase the necessary material and equipment for this project. This is an essential phase of the work for completion of the course. Five quarter hours. Spring. A course which will acquaint the student with the refrigeration cycle and teach the construction of important units used in completion of the refrigeration process. Five quar-er hours. Autumn. A course which deals with the problem confronting the refrigeration mechanic in the repair and service of the several component parts of the refrigerator; such items as the repair or service of pumps, condensers, evaporators and liquid controls. Five quarter hours. Winter. Maycock 63. Fundamentals of of Electricity. A course dealing with elementary theory of electricity. Five quarter hours. Spring. Maycock 64. Sheet Metal Shop Problem. A course designed to teach the necessary mathematics and layout of sheet metal parts paying particular attention of the theory of pattern development. Five quarter hours. Autumn. Maycock 65. Commercial Refrigeration. A study of the several types of commercial refrigeration such as brine system of cooling and large walk in types of commercial refrigeration. Five quarter hours. Winter. Maycock 66. Fundamentals of Refrigeration Construction. A course designed to give the student the necessary technical knowledge required to construct a deep freeze box.
