Show 26 weber college Its aim is to keep alive the Weber spirit and ideals and to further the interests of the College in every legitimate way. Once a year, about Commencement time, they give the Weber Alumni Banquet and Ball. This has come to be one of the most important social functions of the year. It is a very effective means of reviving the old comradeship, fellowship and Weber spirit. Each year from two hundred to four hundred former students attend. The Alumni Association each year sponsors at least one play for the purpose of increasing the fund of the Association. By means of its plays, contributions, etc., the Association has accumulated over $17,400.00 as the nucleus of a building fund, professorship, or whatever the Association may determine to finance. It is the purpose of the Alumni to increase this sum by banquets, endowments and other means to a fund which shall be a real factor in the development of the Weber College. weber college 27 ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS Applicants for admission to the College must present satisfactory evidence of successful completion of a full high school course. This amount of work is estimated as fifteen units. A unit of credit represents one hundred thirty-five hours per year of successful study in any subject. The fifteen units must include three units in English, one unit in Algebra, one unit in Plane Geometry and one unit in History. The Weber College has organized a College Preparatory Department. The purpose of this department is to satisfy the demands of un-matriculated students. Students desiring to enter this department must make application to the Registrar of the College. Students will not be allowed to register two weeks after the opening of each quarter, without special permission. ADMISSION Classified Students. Students will be rated as Classified at the time of entrance provided they present evidence in the form of an official transcript of credits that they have completed at least 15 units of approved high school work. Unclassified Students. Students will be rated tentatively as Unclassified at the time of entrance in case they are unable to furnish an official transcript of credit at that time, but are able to furnish evidence of their graduation from an approved high school.
