Mathew, Mark, Luke, John, A constructive study of Jesus as the Literal Saviour of the World with emphasis upon the personality factors which account for His mastery-This course is directed with a view to make these concepts function character formation. Spring Quarter. Two credit hours. Doctrine and Covenants Doctrine and Covenants 1. Sections 1-20. This course is a survey of the preparation of the world for the Dispensation of the Fullness of Time. The contents of the Doctrine and Covenants are previewed, and a technical study of Sections 1-20 is made. Autumn Quarter. Two credit hours. Doctrine and Covenants 2. Sections 21-100. This course presents a technical study of sections 21-100. The course will be correlated with Church and national history. Each section will be given a historical or personal setting to give it a proper background and thereby impress the students with the motivating forces behind each revelation. As the course progresses the evolution of the government, institutions and doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will be emphasized. Two credit Doctrine and Covenants 8. Sections 101-136. This course concludes the study of the Doctrine and Covenants. It presents a technical study of Sections 101 to 136. The same methods of study will be pursued here as in courses 1 and 2. The |
