The Autumn and Winter quarters are devoted to the mastery of declensions, conjugations and other elementary forms. During the Spring quarter selections from "Caesar's Gallic War" will be read. Three books of "Caesar's Gallic War" and four orations of Cicero will be read. Stress will be laid on syntax, the subjunctive mode and indirect discourse. Latin prose composition will be given.
