SEPTEMBER FRIDAY 23 1892 Boston Mass. Arthur and I arrived here this morning at 7.30 oclock. Went directly to New England Conservatory of Music. Called on Bro Tarris and the Young men from Utah. Visited Bunker Hill, Faneuil Hall, the home of Longfellow, also house of Oliver Wendell Holmes Harvard University, ect. ect. Stopped all night with the Boys. SATURDAY 24 New York Spent part of the day in Boston visiting Mt Auburn, visited the graves of Longfellow and James Russell Lowell and others visited Boston common and the Public Gardens with Bros. Thomas and Witsoe Saw Arthur Shepherd will located Started for N.Y. at one oclock p.m. Arrived here at 8 pm and called at Astor House and found Ezra and Annie were out to a Theatre Got a room and retired (tired.) SEPTEMBER SUNDAY 25 1892 Philadelphia Spent most of the day in New York looking around the city. Visited St Patricks Cathedral, the finest in America, also a few other places of interest Started for this city at 2 pm and arrived at 4.20 pm all O. K. We rented two rooms for a week and located until we can rent and furnish a place for the winter. MONDAY 26 Phila. The books at College opened this morning for registration and there was a grand rush and a fearful jam. We got there however in pretty good time. Looked around the town some for rooms. A medical clinic was given in the Hospital by Prof Wilson Retired early worn out. Met a lot of old students.
