SUN. DEC. 29, 1918 Have taken the Kitchen work again discharged Nellie today We had a fine turkey that Fannie Budge sent Royal Cleone and Marie were here to dinner. S.S. has not commenced as yet so the kiddies are home all day Flue condition much improved Dr & I spent the evening at Ezras MONDAY 30 Children started to school again Seems so good to have the Kitchen work through early. I had my picture taken with the eight other members of Weber Co Red Cross Chapter. No public meetings or gathering held yet but Influenza condition much better no deaths from it for eight days. TUES. DEC. 31, 1918 The last of the Old Year and what a wonderful year it has been We have certainly been blessed no serious illness Junior performing a mission in N.C. and doing fine Cleone married & Oertel gave birth to a beautiful baby. The war closed Oscar in the Service. Mother in N.Y. all yr with Sister Heber graduated in medacine. Dr has had his biggest year in practice by 5000 mor than he ever did in one yr before. Have done my own work over half of the year Served on the Red Cross Executive Board the Relief Society board and the Daughters of Pioneers Board with a great deal of pleasure as well as work. We have been blessed in every way and trust 1919 will bring us as much to be greatful for.
