This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

TOWN COUNCIL Mr. Petersen engaged in the} mercantile business in Hunts-| ville from 1907 to 1933. He}: served on the town council from) 1902 to 1924 and as mayor from 1924 to 1926. He directed installation of the Huntsville water-| works and planning for the park. |: From 1932 to 1935, Mr. Peter-|: sen served in the Utah Legisla-| ture and was a Weber County |; Commissioner from 1948 to 1947. He was chairman of the Weber County Office of Price Administration for two years and served jon Selective Service boards in the county for 16 years.
