Show The line included some 40 tunnels between 50 and 7,500 feet in length, as well as scores of ridges, trestles, cuts, and fills. The long tunnels were especially troublesome due to cave-ins and to underground streams, which would wash in sand and gravel as fast as it could be removed. |
