Carr Roma Tueller 1. Personal and Social Guidance. A general course in college objectives, study techniques, personality analysis, adjustments, aptitude testing, and vocational and college guidance. A practical course in vocational guidance, treating problems of adjustment to college life, selecting an occupation, living with a job, and living in the home and community. Two quarter hours. Specialists are invited in to discuss with students the opportunities and qualifications in their various fields. Visual education and other technical information supplement these discussions. Application of ethics theory is made to social institutions and problems. Five quarter hours. Autumn. Neville 7. Citizenship. A course dealing with meanings, values, functions, and current civic problems of our democracy. Field trips are arranged. Three quarter hours. Spring. Neville 11. Elementary Harmony. A continuation of Music 10, dealing with inversion and dominant harmony. Prerequisite: Music 10. Three quarter hours. (No credit given for less than three quarters' work.) Winter. Johnson 12. Elementary Harmony. A continuation of Music 11. A course devoted to a study of dominant and leading tone sevenths and modulation. Prerequisite: Music 11. Three quarter hours. (No credit given for less than three quarters' work.) Spring. Johnson 20. Glee Club. A course devoted to training in an organization that functions prominently in major school activities. Vocal Combinations. A course devoted to solos, duets, trios, quartets, and larger ensembles, which are carefully selected, developed, and featured frequently throughout the year.
