Fremont Tradition ceramic sherds from the Utah Test and Training Range, northern Utah. Upper two rows consist of Great Salt Lake Gray specimens, single painted specimen at lower left is an example of Snake Valley Black-on-Gray, and the lower middle and right sherds are examples of Great Salt lake Buff. The Snake Valley style sherd probably derives from a vessel that was traded from west central Utah, whereas the other sherds most likely represent locally manufactured containers. All of these pot sherds probably date between A.D. 600 and 1300 |
