Show Division of Business and Economics Guy H. Hurst, Acting Chairman The Division of Business and Economics offers transfer and terminal courses and curriculums to serve the needs of both youth and adults. 1. Program for Transfer Students. Two years of lower-division studies paralleling those given at colleges and universities are available to the student who plans to graduate from a four-year institution. The young man or woman who wishes to major in accounting, finance, economics, marketing, management, or secretarial training may qualify for upper-division status at a senior college or university by completing the first two years at Weber. The student in business should register for courses that will be accepted by the college or university to which transfer is contemplated. Only courses listed in the catalog which have numbers from one to 49 are accepted for full credit by senior colleges and universities. The transfer student who completes all lower-division requirements at Weber College may at graduation become a candidate for the title of Associate of Science or Associate of Arts. 2. Program for Terminal Students. For the student who does not wish to continue his education beyond that provided at Weber College, the Division of Business and Economics offers one- and two- year terminal programs in business-vocational training. The Division has as its objective the preparation of the student for employment in the field of accounting, general business, selling, secretarial, or general office training. Because the student of business should know the art of living as well as working, opportunities are offered for study in the arts, humanities, and sciences. A student who completes a two-year terminal program may at graduation become a candidate for a Certificate of Completion. DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS O. M. Clark, T. Y. DeLange, G. H. Hurst, E. M.
