Show JANUARY MONDAY 11 1892 Caught a heavy cold and am nearly sick. My eyes are badly swollen and have headache. Have not been to College. Have been in house all day. Thomas called on me this evening. Soaked my feet and retired early. 9 p.m. TUESDAY 12 Attended College as usual Changed boarding houses. Had a long conversation with a young Quaker. Received a note and some papers from home. It is raining very hard and has been a bad day. I went to the dissecting room tonight to try to get a part but did not succeed. 11 p.m. JANUARY WEDNESDAY 13 1892 A wet rainy day. I have a severe cold. Attended College as usual. A meeting was held by the Graduating Class for the purpose of nominating class officers. The election will be held next Wednesday morning 10.30 p.m. Attended Surgical Clinic and saw several operations, done by Prof Forbes. THURSDAY 14 A wet rainy day. Received a letter from Ezra: also a Catalogue from the Ky School of Medicine. Attended College or usual Chapman gave a very fine lecture on the eye (Accommodation) An old man who was drunk interrupted Prof. Forbes in his lecture and caused considerable fun and laughter among the boys and was fined. |
