Show JANUARY SATURDAY 23 1892 Attended DaCostas Clinic at Philadelphia Hospital. He discussed Influenza at length. Attended Packards Surgical Clinic at same place: very interesting. 1 A broken nose: 2 Stretched Sciatic nerve: 3 and skin grafting case. Went to Dime Museum and saw Big Ella who is 19 years old; weighs 235 #; and is 8 feet 2 inches in height. A very interesting spectacle. A warm day. I do not feel very well. 10.15 p.m. SUNDAY 24 Have been in my room all day. Wrote to Amasa and Aunt Sarah D. Drs Web, Thomas, Harover Pearson and Pressly were in my room and spent the evening. 10.26 JANUARY MONDAY 25 1892 Dissected this morning from 8-9.30 a.m. and attended lectures as usual Lovellet and I visited Carpenters Hall and saw several things of interest Also visited Independence Hall. Ward is sick: thinks he has the Influenza. No mail from home Am looking anxiously for a check 11. p.m. TUESDAY 26 A very cold windy day. College as usual. Dissected three hours. Hare gave an exercise in Prescription writing this evening. Ward has been in bed all day and has Influenza. Boarding house tough and dirty as h. Think I shall change. Got a paper to day, but no letters. I am very tired and shall retire early 10.20 p.m. |
