Show NOVEMBER SUNDAY 6 1892 A nice day. Ezra and I went down on South Bivad to see a Rev. Haydid to whom R. P. Boyd had given us a letter of introduction. Found his Church after a long walk and talked with the gentleman a few minutes. Called on Dr. Piper in the afternoon and we went to Church in the evening. Ward came up this evening Wrote to Mira this evening MONDAY 7 College as usual. A rainy day. Lectures very good. A paper from home, but no letters. NOVEMBER TUESDAY 8 1892 A very nice day. This is Election day and there is considerable excitement and a fearful crowd on the streets tonight There is a great deal of betting done here and many are looking anxiously for election returns. I am in the Surgical laboratory now for a couple of weeks. WEDNESDAY 9 Election returns show that Grover Cleveland is elected President of U.S. by an overwhelming majority. Republicans feel very sore and lost lots of money. Clinics very good today Surgical laboratory this evening. No letters from home this week Is raining hard tonight. |
