Show Dr. Quinn McKay, chairman of the Division of Business and Economics, is a graduate of Harvard University. He accepted a position as new dean of the School of Business. Business Division Awards CPS To Secretaries One of the new programs introduced in the Business Division was the awarding of the CPS Certificate. This was similar to the CPA awarded to proficient secretaries. The Certificate of Certified Professional Secretary is the highest awarded in the field. New Business Division personnel included Mr. Harper, Mr. Stringham, Mr. Cass, and Mrs. Brown. An advisory council that included prominent businessmen kept the division members informed and up to date on business needs in the area. The purpose of the Business Division is to provide men and women with the opportunity to make a living in the field of business. The Division trains them to enter private business, prepares them for employment with federal and state government, and assists them to become teachers in the field of business education. The Business Division included the Departments of Accounting, Banking, and Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Office Administration and Business Education. Heads of the various Departments were Talmadge Y. De Lange, Clarence G. Wilson, O. Morrell Clark, and Bill S. Henrie. Bill S. Henrie Office Administration O. Morrell Clark Economics Clarence G.
