Show Golf Season Looks Bleak Only one letterman from last year's gold team was back for the 1967 season, John Cottam who was the number three golfer last year. The 1967 load was carried by Jim Linke, a transfer from University of California at Riverside. Other boys carrying Wildcat hopes in golf are Richard Leferink, John Cottam and Bill Roberts. They were coached by Mac Madsen. This year the Big Sky Conference Championships were held at Ogden Country Club May 18, 19, and 20. Richard Leferink watches as Jim Linke prepares to tee off. Weber State and Utah State played at Hill Air Force Base course. Skiers Do Well In Competition Weber State skiers entered several big inter-mountain meets this past season including McCall Invitational, the Big Sky Conference meet, and the BYU Snow Carnival. Members of the team included Gene Timmons, Mike Lowe, Mims Barker, and Buddy Brennen. Dick Durrant accompanied the team to all events and skied as an independent because he was redshirting the team this year. Coaches for the ski team are Earl Miller and Tom Low. Skiers get ready for the starting gun for the Big Sky Conference Meet. Soccer Club Has 3-4 Record Weber State's Soccer team won three and lost four in their fall schedule of play. They beat Hollandia, Rollo, and Berlin "B", losing to Bountiful, Alemannia, Germania and Berlin "A". In the spring schedule they play Utah State, University of Utah and Idaho State as well as all of the teams played during the fall season. Officers of the team are: David Scovell, president; Ricardo Merino, vice president; John Little, secretary; Werner Thaller, coach; and Ray Rhead, athletic advisor.
