Show Sigma Builds Donkey Members of Sigma Delta Pi partcipated in Snow Carnival and built a donkey titled "The Great Society On Its Ass." The men of Sigma also participated in homecoming and intramural sports, winning in that area. The group was first organized on campus in 1938. Its president was Larry Nye. The men of Sigma construct their ten foot donkey at Snow Carnival. Glen Anderson Mike Basel Larry Bergener Dennis Christensen Ken Fox Tom Fox Curt Geige Tom Hodges Norman Holmes Bob Johnson Jim Kennedy Rick Larsen Scott McMillan Bob Nelson Dick Poole Greg Royster Ken Strong Bob Thornock Beta Phi Beta Helps Underprivileged Beta Phi Beta was new to the campus in 1966, but became active with many athletes and residence hall students as members. The men of Beta Phi consistently won the spirit trophy at basketball and football games. They sponsored activity for underprivileged children by taking them to dinner and basketball games. Some of the members coached little league teams. Beta Phi also sponsored a successful stomp. Its president was Dan Sparks. The Beta Phi stomp, which drew many to the union cafeteria, was one of the group's several activities.
