Show Skiers Attracted To Snow Carnival The annual Snow Carnival attracted many student skiers to compete for honors. Other events included ski-do races, snow shoe races and snow sculpture. La Dianaeda won first place in ski races, but men's competition was cancelled due to the weather. Snow Sculpture awards went to Delta Phi Kappa, Otyokwa, and the Ski Club. Delta Phi Kappa won the snow shoe events, but an independent-Ben Bachman-took first in the ski-do races. Ben Bachman is the winner in ski-do races. Dozens of skiers participate in the torchlight ceremony preceding the annual ski meet and snow carnival at Snow Basin. The men of Excelsior prepare Uncle Sam and his famous "I want you" slogan. Theme of the snow sculpture was the great society. Skiers line up for the lift as they prepare to participate in Snow Carnival competition. |
