Excelsior tried to create a new image for its pledges this year. They worked for a stronger feeling of brotherhood, rather than the traditional torture pledges received from members in the past. One member stated that he belonged to Excelsior, because it was the largest fraternity on campus with the greatest opportunity for responsibility, working with people and forming deep, personal relationships with others in the group. Excelsior sponsored several community service projects including the Red Cross Blood Drive. They also held a Charity Ball and Cotillion along with other activities. |
