Show chatonelles Few would ever question that athletic excellence is developed easily, yet the Chatonelles certainly display that excellence can be developed. If only the fans could see the long hours of leg stretching, exercising, and precision practice to make one performance successful, they would give them a standing ovation at each performance. At the half times their exertions really give the school spirit and pride. The picture may look upside down to you, as Steve Frazier tries reaching to the sky. Keeping the crowd yelling when the going gets tough is their job, and they do the job well, burning up thousands of calories with their constant skipping, jumping, acrobatics, and yelling from the sidelines. This kind of job takes a lot of nerve as well as energy and these people have both. Asked for a clue to their success, they might reply, "We try harder!" Row One: Richard Speckley, Morris Pairy, Rita Martinez. Row Two: Rollin Moulton, Roger Lee, Terry Hale, Steve Frazier. Row Three: Sherry Ellis, Lauri White, and Leslie Barlow. |
