For those who managed to live through the heat, the crowds and the closed classes, the real work began - STUDY! Students crowded trying to get class cards before the classes filled. Most students stayed long enough to talk with friends about their final schedules. homecoming week Homecoming week served to welcome back returning alumni and to give freshmen a chance to get acquainted and oriented to college life. One of the annual "get acquainted" events was the lighting and whitewashing of the WS, in which all students were invited to take part.
