Show Students find the Art Building an ideal place to study. art building The "forgotten" building on campus, you know the one: the one you always pass going from the Fine Arts to the U.B. or the Library, well that's the art building. It houses many talented and industrious students, whose works are shown once a year in a student exhibit during spring quarter. It's also a great place to study or just look around. Why not visit sometime? Mrs. Inez Cortez Cruscott was presented with a plaque by Dr. Hofmann on the occasion of the first lecture sponsored by the Honor Lectures Program she funded. convocations This year the convocation series was given for class credit, so more students could take advantage of the lectures given. A wide variety of subjects were covered ranging from religious lectures to musical concerts. The purpose of the course was to broaden the interests of the students participating and to acquaint them in some small way with a variety of subjects. Dr. Louis E. Lomax, noted sociologist, spoke on Religion, Race, and Revolution. J. D. Williams, a speaker during Philosophy Emphasis Week, dealt with the development of liberalism. |
