Show Scholarship Won By News Writer Ogden high school was represented by 24 students and two faculty members at the 14th annual intermountain journalism conference at Brigham Young university. Eleanor Knowles from O.H.S. was first place winner of a $25 scholarship in one of the news writing contests. She also received honorable mention in the editorial contest. Receiving honorable mention in the junior college divisions were three students from Weber: Ilamae Hansen, James Brown, and Shirley Kinsey. Leigh Hales also from Weber, won first place in the news division. |
