Show ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEES OF WEBER COLLEGES The President is ex-officio a member of all committees. 1. Admissions, Credits, and Graduation Committee. The purpose of this committee is to approve and supervise the entrance, withdrawal, and graduation of all students. Members of this committee are Hall (Chairman), Allen, M.T. Allred, Hansen. 2. Assemblies. The purpose of this committee is to supervise and approve all assemblies and content to be presented. Members are: Kelly (Chairman), Dickson, Johnson, Morell, Parry, and student representatives. 3. Athletics. The athletics committee is to have in charge all students participating sports and have in charge the funds connected with this. Members are: Swenson (Chairman), Baddley, Burton, Gaz, Ruish, Mechman, Miner, Riley, alumni and student representatives. 4. Awards, Scholarships, and Eligibility. This committee prepares all provisions for the awards of scholarships offered for the following years by the school and determine the eligibility of the receivers. Members are: Osmond (Chairman), Hunter Stratford, and student representatives. 5. Building and Campus Planning. This committee’s purpose is to supervise the planning and etc. of future buildings, upkeep of the buildings and grounds. Requisitions for use of rooms must be made to this committee. Members are: Baddley (Chairman), Browning, Hardy, Mecham, Peterson. 6. Lecture and Concert Series. The educational concerts and lectures are brought to the school through the expert planning of this committee. Members are: Dickson (Chairman), Foulger, Johnson, Pendleton, and student representatives. 7. Library. Aim to keep a usefull and complete library for the use of any student. Members are: Browning (Chairman), P. Allred, Murphy. THE SOPHOMORE CLASS Every student in his fourth quarter and beyond is considered a member of the Sophomore Class. Officers of the Sophomore Class are: Russ Carruth; President, Delsa Davis; Vice President, and Jo Anne Cliften; Secretary. The first activity of the Soph Class was “Freshman Week” and the Frosh initiation assembly, with which you are all familiar. The Soph Class also has an “Orchid Ball,” where girls are given corsages at the dance. This dance was not given last year because of lack of funds, but we hope to present it this year. In spring quarter there is a big Soph and Fresh outing at some amusement park sponsored by the Soph Class. They also sponsor the Commencement Dance at the end of the school year. |
