Show OBITUARY Linda Jean Edna Jones July 2, 1951 — August 31, 2023 IN THE CARE OF Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary Linda Jean Edna Jones was born to Laura E. Jones and Charles H. Jones-Harding on July 2, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland. She took the hands of her loved ones on the other side the afternoon of August 31, 2023. Linda received her childhood education in the Baltimore City public schools and continued her education through high school. She was great at math and science and received accolades from school administrators for her knowledge, wit, and skills. Right after high school she worked for the mayor of Baltimore, MD., Mayor Schaffers. She was in the Army National Guard Reserves. Linda was known for hard work and dedication in everything she did. As a young adult she was determined to gain all qualifications to achieve a license to drive a tractor trailer truck. She persevered and achieved the goal. Later in life she was able to drive interstate and fulfill this desire. She worked in many positions and early on in her career she worked as a welder at Bethlehem Steel and for many years in Utah she was a proud bus driver for the Granite School District. The kids were fond of Miss Linda. Surviving are siblings Charlotte Starks, Marvin Draper, and Chana Harding. She is also survived by her son LaChar Jones (Cherrelle Jones) and six grandchildren: Alicia Jones, Aleah Jones, Faith Jones, Terrell Johns, Oliver Jones, and Olivia Yokwe. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great neighbors, and friends.Linda was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jerome Jones, Charles Harding, Joseph (Butch) Jones, Ronald Jones, Sr., sister Margaret Draper and Johnathan Jones, Sr. A viewing will be on Monday, September 11, 2023, from 6:00 — 8:00 pm at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Millcreek, UT 84106. Funeral Service: September 12, 2023, 11:00 AM to Noon. Viewing also before from 10:00 am — 10:45 at the same location. Burial: Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, UT 84401.
