Show Through “Good Lord, he’s killed her!” On March 18 and 19, with the most outstanding and detailed scenery ever used in a_ school play at Weber High, © Smilin Through, by Allan Langdon Martin, was hailed by an enthusiastic audience as one of the best productions they had ever attended. Under the direction of Mr. T. Leonard Rowley, assisted by Ger; ald Bench, a cast of 15 made the audience laugh with mirth, thrill with romance, and weep with sorrow and happiness’ through each suspense filled moment. The play old man, told the story bitter toward of an his niece’s sweetheart whose father had killed his bride-to-be on the night of their wedding fifty years before. But through the independence of his niece, who _ threatens to leave him, and the aid of his sweetheart’s ghost, the man is made to see that no can hold hate in his heart expect to get the fullness of that they are supposed to. “lve no right to claim girl when I’m like this.” old one and life any _ “It’s a silly fool ’'ve made of myself, now isn’t it?” |
