Show Tee Late Imagine, if you can a husky, handsome young man, very much alive, who believes himself dead . . . killed in an accident, Then go further and imagine a beautiful young woman who agrees with him. If you can conceive of such characters you still can’t imagine the plot of “The Late Mr. Early,” for it’s one of the screwiest, funniest plays. Don Early is a reckless young fool who doesn’t know the meaning of the phrase “Safety First.” He's engaged to marry a sweet young thing who sits at home and trembles every time he goes up in his plane . . . a flimsy old crate he's patched together . . . risking his own life and his friends’ for the sake of a few thrills. He's crashed once; twice . . . and finally, when he comes down for a third time, while skylarking with his girl friend’s girl friend . . . well, Joyce Henderson, Kaye Farrell, Ann Eddy, Jon Hal Folkman, Judy Taylor, Larry Chandler, Gerald Bellon, Carolyn Nelson, Richard Nelson. that’s just too much for Evelyn, a prying young matron. She and her friends decide to teach both of them a lesson, by making them believe that they are dead. The trick is discovered by Don and Doris and at the end all is forgiven in a blooming romance.
